Redskins vs. Seahawks: Inexperience on both sides will play a role
The Washington Redskins are now just a few days away from their return to the NFL Playoffs and a Wild Card round match-up with the Seattle Seahawks. However, as they prepare, they know that a lack of playoff experience is something the football world is keying in on.
That's not stifling the confidence of a team that rallied to win the NFC East with a 10-6 record after going into their bye week at 3-6, and that starts with rookies like Robert Griffin III and Alfred Morris.
Griffin, who only has 15 games of NFL experience, has taken the league by storm, and Morris, an unheralded 6th round draft pick out of Florida Atlantic, played an overwhelming role in the Redskins' Week 17 win to clinch a division title.
And it's not as if the Seahawks aren't inexperienced as well. While the franchise has made the playoffs more recently than Washington, their quarterback, Russell Wilson, is new to the playoffs in his own right.
