WASHINGTON (AP) - A man who pleaded guilty to punching another man so hard at a Metro station that he fell onto the tracks has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Twenty-two-year-old Roderick Hill of Washington was sentenced Friday in Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

Prosecutors say on June 3, Hill punched a man at the L'Enfant Plaza Metro station, causing him to fall from the platform onto the tracks. Bystanders helped the victim, who suffered a broken jaw, back onto the platform.

Hill was sentenced earlier this week to 20 months in prison for repeatedly punching a U.S. Marshal while in court for the Metro assault.

The judge ordered that Hill's sentences be run consecutively.
