City of Seattle flag flies over Wilson building in D.C.
January 10, 2013 - 06:40 am
D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray is making good on a bet with his Seattle counterpart Thursday.
Thanks to the Seattle Seahawks 24-14 victory over the Washington Redskins in last Sunday's NFC wild-card playoff game, the Seattle city flag is flying over the Wilson Building in downtown Washington.
Mayor Gray tweeted about the flag's raising shortly after it happened.
DC is good on its word. Raising the Seattle city flag over the Wilson Building today. @mayormcginn twitter.com/mayorvincegray…
