A Montgomery County group wants answers about the Silver Spring Transit Center.

Members of the "Action Committee for Transit" say they're frustrated over the project's long history of delays and want a progress report. The county says they'll be getting one soon.

The Action Committee for Transit is voicing their frustrations regarding the on-going delays surrounding the transit center. The building was proposed in 1997, and construction began in 2008. When complete it will include 32 bus bays and provide direct access to Metrorail and MARC.

The group says that exactly one year ago, reports surfaced of flaws with the concrete, which prompted a study. They're still waiting for an update.

According to the County Executive's Office, a remediation report will be released this month. It will be made available to the public.

Officials say residents have been kept in the loop as much as possible, but not everyone agrees.

Council Member Valerie Ervin, who represents that district, says the September 2013 deadline has to be met.
