Steubenville students joke about sexual assault in video
A shocking video has been released showing a group of Ohio teens joking about possibly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in Ohio.
In the 12-minute video, the teens are heard discussing an alleged sexual assault that reportedly took place on Aug. 22 in Steubenville, Ohio. The video was posted by a “hacktivist” group known as “Knight Sec.”
In the video, a teen can be heard saying “she is so raped.” Several other more graphic statements about the sexual assault are heard.
The case centers on several football players with the Steubenville Higg School football team, who allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-girl who was reportedly intoxicated. The New York Times conducted an investigation into the case and discovered that some students had posted photos and statements on twitter about the incident.
Two students, Trent Mays and Ma'lik Richmond, are facing charges of kidnapping and sexual assault in connection with the alleged incident.
