Super Bowl 2013: Fan Fest in New Orleans
Fan Fest is officially underway in New Orleans. From the balconies of the French Quarter to the live music on Jackson square - and of course the Cajun food on Bourbon Street - fans, players and the media are experiencing Super Bowl week, Big Easy style.
ABC7’s John Gonzalez checked beignets off his list at Cafe Du Monde.
“The best way to describe it, it’s like a creamy doughnut meets a funnel cake,” described Gonzalez. “And it’s messy.”
For the kids, the NFL Experience Kid's Day brought with it an experience of a different kind - a massive interactive playground that makes a kid feel like a pro athlete.
Saints player and Super Bowl champion Lance Moore has some advice for the Ravens and 49ers who are calling “Nawlins” home for the week.
"Prepare like you would for any other game,” said Lance Moore, New Orleans Saints player. “But remember this is a once in a lifetime opportunity."
So from crazy Media Day to the iconic trolley cars on Canal Street, these are images thousands of visitors here along the Mississippi river will never forget.
As part of Thursday night’s concert series, Lil Wayne and Snoop Dogg will perform.
