Taco Bell Doritos Locos Taco to introduce Cool Ranch flavor
The success of the initial launch last year of the Doritos Locos Taco by Taco Bell was apparently so promising that a sequel is in the works.
In an interview with CBS This Morning, Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed said that the chain will soon launch a new flavor of the taco with a shell made of Cool Ranch-flavored Doritos chips.
The introduction comes on the heels of last autumn's rollout of the Doritos Locos Taco, which is a standard Taco Bell taco with a shell made of Nacho Cheese-flavored chips. According to Business Insider, the chain sold 100 million of the tacos in the first 10 weeks it was available.
According to Taco Bell's nutritional information, one Doritos Locos Taco contains 170 calories and nine grams of fat, 3.5 of them saturated. The "Supreme" version packs on 30 more calories and two more grams of fat.
