Teen assaulted walking to bus stop in Fort Washington
Prince George's County Police detectives are looking for a man they say assaulted a teenager Thursday morning while she walked to her school bus stop in Fort Washington.
The incident happened while the victim walked in the area of Lourdes and Hickory drives at about 6:30 a.m., officials say. The victim says the suspect grabbed her, after which both of them fell to the ground. She was able to get away after kicking the attacker and running.
Authorities describe the suspect as a 6-foot tall black man in his late 20s to early 30s. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and sweat pants at the time of the assault.
Police released a sketch of the suspect Friday morning.
After the attack, county police officers stationed themselves at three bus stops in the vicinity of the crime. Officers are also canvassing the area.
