William Howard Taft will be fifth president in races at Nationals Park
January 25, 2013 - 09:31 pm
The Washington Nationals will announce Saturday afternoon at NatsFest that they have chosen William Howard Taft to be the fifth Racing President , according to the Curly W Blog on the MLBlogs Network.
Taft was the 27th president and the most corpulent.
Taft succeeded Teddy Roosevelt and the two were allies for a while. But TR ran against Taft on a third party ticket in 1912, allowing Woodrow Wilson to win.
At his girth, will Taft become the perennial underdog in the races at Nationals Park?
