Anastacia Oluoch pleads guilty to abusing vulnerable adult (video)
BALTIMORE (AP) - A woman depicted in a video allegedly beating an elderly man she had been hired to care for has pleaded guilty to three counts of abusing a vulnerable adult.
Fifty-nine-year-old Anastacia Oluoch entered the plea Thursday in a Baltimore court and will serve six years in prison.
Prosecutors say the victim's daughter hired Oluoch to care for her 90-year-old father in her home. The daughter set up a video camera to monitor her father and his treatment.
Authorities say on May 19, 2007, the daughter reviewed the footage and saw Oluoch repeatedly punching her father.
Oluoch was arrested and released on bail. She fled to her home country of Kenya. She was returned to Maryland last year.
