As construction for the new DC Streetcar continues along the H Street/Benning Road corridor, construction of a different type has been going on behind the scenes.

DCStreetcar.com has been redesigned to feature current and future lines, construction impacts, photos and videos, latest news, and an interactive event calendar.

“We are excited about this new website as it represents a key advancement that’s aimed at improving how we go about informing and engaging the community as we move forward ,” said Terry Bellamy, DDOT Director. “Anyone visiting dcstreetcar.com will be able to keep up with all facets of the program.”

It’s been more than 50 years since streetcars last serviced the streets of Washington. DC Streetcar will ease travel for District residents, workers and visitors by complementing existing transit options and creating connections where they currently do not exist.

Phase 2 of roadway construction along H Street/Benning Road started in December. DC Streetcars are expected to arrive in the fall.
