Police say 18-year-old Andre Shuford of Forestville and Aaron Kidd, a Suitland High School freshman, were shot in the 3700 block of Donnell Drive around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Kidd was pronounced dead at the scene. He is the second Suitland High School student to be murdered this week and the sixth Prince George's County student this school year.

Shuford died Wednesday and was not a student.

Kidd's mother tells ABC7 that he was to become a father next month. She says he was gunned down while hanging out with his friends after school.

On Monday, 15-year-old Walker Jr. was shot and killed near Iverson Mall during a robbery attempt. Authorities do not believe the murders are connected.

Four other Prince George's County students have been murdered this school year.

Briant K. Coleman, a spokesman for Prince George’s County Public Schools, issued this statement on behalf of the school system:

“We are horrified to learn that tragedy struck another one of our students within a 24-hour time-span. Our hearts are broken again and we extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family."

"We cannot go another day without addressing these unspeakable acts of violence against our students. We are asking for the community’s support as our students, teachers and employees cope with these incidents.”
