Eric Gaskin sentenced to 180 days for abusing kittens
February 22, 2013 - 01:12 pm
A D.C. man who pleaded guilty to ripping out the claws of two kittens was sentenced Friday to 180 days in jail, according to the Washington Humane Society.
Eric Gaskin was also sentenced to pay a $100 fine.
Gaskin was arrested in September and charged with two counts of animal cruelty for declawing two 8-week-old kittens. The kittens were turned over to the Washington Humane Society, which reported that both kittens suffered multiple broken bones and infections.
Both kittens were later euthanized.
