Frederick woman alleges sexual assault outside Weis
A Frederick woman tells police she was raped outside a Frederick Weis Saturday evening.
According to a release, the woman was walking home from the store on Thomas Johnson Drive when two men pulled her into a parked car and sexually assaulted her. She tells police one man was black and the other was white. Both were wearing black hats and dark clothing.
Police say the woman was able to get away and call for help inside the Weis. She was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The woman describes the vehicle to be a white four door sedan similar to a Chevrolet Malibu.
Frederick resident Elaine English says despite the security measures here - plenty of lighting and video surveillance - she is always on guard:
“Some of the areas around here are a little shady, and sometimes I'm very uncomfortable when I come out at night from the grocery store here,” she says.
Anyone with information should call police.
