UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - A man already serving a 100-year prison sentence for a violent crime spree is set to stand trial in Prince George's County next week in the killings of a mother and her daughter.

Jason Scott is charged with killing Delores Dewitt, a nurse, and her 20-year-old daughter, Ebony. The women's bodies were found inside a burning car in Largo in March 2009.

Opening statements are expected Tuesday morning. The trial is expected to last at least a month.

Scott, a former UPS worker, was sentenced in January 2012 to 100 years in prison for dozens of armed home invasions and burglaries in Maryland. At that sentencing hearing, a federal judge told him he'd be remembered "as one of the foulest, most hated people" in the county.
