A jury convicted a man Tuesday afternoon of killing and robbing a 57-year-old Arlington resident, according to The Washington Post.
The jury convicted Javon Martin of first-degree murder and robbery, the Post reports. Martin, 25, was found guilty in the slaying of Carl Deiner, who was stabbed to death in 2009.
The Post also reports that it recommended a sentence of 27 years behind bars.
An accomplice, Roger Clarke, pleaded guilty last year to first degree murder charges for his role in Deiner’s slaying.
