Lashawn Johnson accused in gas pump assault

A Woodbridge woman has been charged for allegedly spraying another woman in the face with gasoline at a Shell station.
The victim tells police she was pumping gas at the Shell on Occoquan Road in Woodbridge around 4 a.m. Saturday when she got into an argument with Lashawn Dernette Johnson. The victim alleges Johnson grabbed the gas pump and sprayed her in the face. Police say the two women knew each other.
The victim was treated for severe eye injuries at an area hospital.
Johnson took off on foot and was taken into custody a short time later. She faces a charge of malicious wounding by substance.
