February 16, 2013 - 10:16 am
Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating the driver who hit a 15-year-old as he crossed the street Friday.
Around 4:15 p.m., the teen was struck by a silver sedan at the intersection of Claiborne Parkway and Portsmouth Boulevard in Loudoun County. Police say the driver was making a right hand turn onto Claiborne Parkway and struck the boy in the crosswalk.
The driver reportedly stopped a short dance from the scene and spoke with some bystanders before leaving.
The victim was taken to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Anyone with information should call police.
