Luel Hayes Jr. sentenced for 2009 homicide, sexual assault

A 43-year-old man will spend 38 years in prison for a 2009 murder and sexual assault.
Last Nov., Luel Hayes Jr. of D.C. was found guilty in the shooting death of Rahiem Moore, 37. Moore was found dead on June 10, 2009 in Northwest.
Two months later, Hayes sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl; he entered a guilty plea in connection with that case.
