Maryland Love Project asks why you love Maryland
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Gov. Martin O'Malley wants to hear why people love Maryland.
The governor launched a web portal Friday where people can submit photos, tweets or stories about why they love the state. The crowd-sourcing effort will create both online and real-world public art displays. This summer, an artist from will take the online submissions for an artistic interpretation to create a mural in Baltimore.
The Maryland Love Project is a joint effort between the state, the Maryland State Arts Council, the Baltimore Love Project and the Digital Harbor Foundation. Four middle school and high school students created the web portal to collect submissions.
The project created the hash tag #MDLove to collect tweets from the public.
