Oscar's road trip, Melanie's acceptance speech

You don’t have to work in the movies to hold an Oscar statuette!
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences launched Oscar Roadtrip this week to build buzz for the big show.
Thursday, Oscar will be at the Le Meridien Hotel in Arlington from 5pm-7pm. Fans can hold him, take photos with him and even give a pretend acceptance speech with Oscar in hand.
The 85th Academy Awards airs on Feb. 24 right here on ABC7.
