Prince George's County water main break causes discolored water
February 10, 2013 - 08:29 am
A broken water main has caused discolored water for customers in the Laurel and Beltsville areas of Prince George’s County.
The break happened east of I-95 near the intersection of Van Dusen and Virginia Manor in Laurel.
The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission says discolored water is safe to drink, but should not be used for baby formula or to wash clothes.
Service is expected to be restored within six hours.
