A well-known swim coach who ran one of D.C.’s largest swim clubs has pleaded guilty Thursday morning to sexually abusing a child, WTOP reports.

Rick Curl, of Vienna, was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a teen student in the 1980s.

The victim, now in her 40s, said Curl began touching her inappropriately when she was 13 and had a sexual relationship with her when she was between the ages of 15 and 18.

He will be sentenced on May 23.
