Zuberi Lateef Brown struck, killed by car while walking in Bowie

Maryland State Police early Thursday morning responded to an accident on Route 301 where a pedestrian was hit and killed.

The incident happened around 1am along the southbound lanes of Route 301 at Point Ridge Drive in Bowie, Maryland. The victim, now identified as Zuberi Lateef Brown, 39 of Bowie, was walking northbound in the southbound lanes when he was hit by an oncoming car headed south.

The driver remained on the scene and police are still investigating the accident.
