Teen critically injured by hit-and-run taxi in Oxon Hill
February 7, 2013 - 11:43 pm
A teenager was hit and critically injured by a taxi cab in Oxon Hill Thursday night.
The driver of the cab drove away, but a witness described his cab and told police the cab headed toward the Southern Avenue Metro station.
Police found the cab and the driver. A spokesperson for Prince George's County Police tells ABC7 the driver is cooperating with police.
The teen, described as about 15 or 16, was crossing in the 4700 block of Wheeler Road in a well-lit area but without a crosswalk. He is in a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver is in custody and charges are pending.
