Akeem Howard accused in Md. Boys & Girls Club burglary
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Police in Annapolis say they've arrested a man they believe was involved in the theft of laptops and a television from a local Boys & Girls Club.
Police arrested 18-year-old Akeem Howard of Annapolis on Wednesday. Police say thousands of dollars worth of electronics was taken from the Boys & Girls Club at 417 Captains Circle on Feb. 19. Stolen items included 14 laptops, a flat screen television and an Xbox Kinect game console.
Police say an anonymous tipster led them to Howard. The tipster said Howard bragged about the thefts and tried to sell the laptops. Police say Howard admitted to trying to sell the laptops but denied committing the burglary.
Police believe a second person was also involved. Online court records did not list an attorney for Howard.
