Camera found in Glen Burnie High School bathroom
An Anne Arundel County police officer is on administrative leave after allegedly installing a camera inside a men's restroom at Glen Burnie High School, police say.
According to a preliminary investigation, the officer, who is assigned to the Special Services Bureau, installed the camera without the knowledge of the school system or police department.
A student discovered the camera on Wednesday and reported it to school administrators. No images or recordings were found on the camera, and no additional unauthorized cameras were located in the building.
The police powers of the 14-year veteran were also suspended. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Glen Burnie High School is located in the 7500 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie.
