Claire Rice accused of shooting Anthony Rice to death

Police have arrested a woman in the fatal Dec. shooting of Anthony Rice of Northwest Washington.

Claire Rice, 65, was arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree murder in the Dec. 17 shooting on Fort Lincoln Drive NE.

Anthony Rice's body was found behind Marshall Elementary School around 11 a.m. Further investigation showed he suffered from several gunshot wounds.

His body was found by a woman who was walking her dog in nearby Fort Lincoln Park, police say.

Police have not released a motive.
