Friendship Charter School student accused of sex abuse pleads guilty

A 17-year-old who was arrested and is accused of raping a classmate inside Friendship Charter School in Northeast D.C. this week has pleaded guilty.

The incident allegedly occurred after school hours in an empty classroom and involved a 16-year-old victim.

The suspect was charged with first degree sex abuse and taken to a juvenile processing center. He pleaded guilty a day after the alleged incident, according to The Washington Post.

The school is also conducting an investigation into the alleged incident.
