Rumon Ernesto Anaya-Ascencio charged in double fatal Lanham crash

A man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash in Lanham that left two people dead and two others injured Monday morning.

Prince George's County Police officials say said that the accident happened in the 10000 block of Lanham-Severn Road and involved two cars.

Rumon Ernesto Anaya-Ascencio was charged with two counts vehicular manslaughter, two counts vehicular manslaughter while impaired and two counts vehicular manslaughter while under the influence.

Three men in their 30s were inside a badly-damaged red Honda and one man in his 50s was in a silver Audi at the time of the crash. Two people inside the Honda died, police say.

 Streets across the region were slick throughout the Monday morning commute due to snow.
