Hyattsville gas station shooting injures two
March 17, 2013 - 09:20 am
Two people were injured early Sunday after at least 19 shots were fired at a Hyattsville gas station.
Police say it happened just before 3 a.m. at the Shell gas station on Queens Chapel Road. Two groups of people pulled into the station and gunfire started as one of the victims was walking into the store, a police release states.
Police say a man was shot in the stomach and buttocks. His injuries were non-life-threatening. A woman arrived at an area hospital a short time later. Her lip had been grazed and her hand was hit while walking into the store.
The suspects took off in a dark compact four-door car and are still at large.
