Joshua Long, Osbourn High sophomore, dies of the flu
Students and staff at Osbourn High School in Manassas are mourning the loss of a 16-year-old sophomore after he suddenly died from complications of the flu Sunday night, Inside Nova reports.
Joshua Long reportedly died just days after contracting what was thought to be the flu. Inside Nova reports that the teenager, who his mother described as "perfectly healthy," was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia on Saturday.
He passed away just a day later.
Long's death came just days after another Manassas student was killed in a car crash. Michael Schmelzinger, 17, a junior at Osbourn Park High School, died when his car crashed on Lake Jackson Drive.
