A man was struck and killed by a pick-up truck Sunday night near Fort Belvoir, police say.

Fairfax Country Police said that a man in his mid-50’s was walking in the middle of the roadway near the intersection of Fairfax County Parkway and Ehlers Road when he was hit.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.The striking vehicle remained at the scene.
