Opium found inside shampoo, lotion bottles at Dulles
March 8, 2013 - 12:58 pm
A California man was arrested last Friday after customs officers say they found opium in his shampoo and lotion bottles.
Mehdi Moshirian, 63, arrived at Washington Dulles International Airport from Frankfurt on Feb. 28. He was pulled for a secondary examination at Dulles after officers detected anomalies in two shampoo bottles and one bottle of lotion. Inside the bottles were baggies containing what proved to be opium, Customs And Border Protection officials say.
The seized opium has a street value of about $4,000.
Moshirian was later turned over to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police.
