Pedro Quezada wins $338 million Powerball jackpot
PASSAIC, N.J. (AP) - The son of a Dominican immigrant who won the $338 million Powerball jackpot says he knows his father will "do something good with the money."
Casiano Quezada also says the family plans to keep open the bodega they have run for years in Passaic, N.J.
Quezada's father, Pedro, showed up at a liquor store in Passaic with the winning ticket late Monday. Lottery officials are holding a news conference Tuesday afternoon to officially announce the jackpot winner.
Casiano says until recently his father had been working 15-hour days at the Apple Deli Grocery, which the son now runs.
The family moved to the U.S. in the 1980s from the Dominican city of Jarabacoa.
