Report: USPS ranks last among global mail delivery leaders
The United States Postal Service is in dire financial straits and will likely end Saturday mail delivery soon, and if that's not bad enough news, a new report says that it's also among the most inefficient mail delivery organizations in the world.
According to Government Executive, the USPS ranks last in a survey undertaken by Accenture of the 24 delivery organizations that deliver 75 percent of the world's mail.
The survey highlights the USPS' inability to adapt to changing mail habits and highlights several countries that have done so.
The USPS announced in early February that Saturday mail service would cease nationwide this summer.
