Saint Mary's County school bus accident

Saint Mary's County Sheriff's Department Capt. Steven Hall says units are currently on the scene of an accident involving a school bus occupied with children and a passenger vehicle. It happened this morning on Route 5 near Chingville Road in Leonardtown.

There are no injuries reported on the bus. An occupant of the passenger vehicle has been transported to a local hospital with "very serious injuries."

Saint Mary's County Crash Reconstruction Team is on the scene conducting the investigation.
