Former U.S. senator and one-time presidential hopeful Rick Santorum said he hasn't changed his position on same-sex marriage during the CPAC on Friday.

Asked about Senator Portman's new position on gay marriage, Santorum just told reporters "Well, I'm not changing my position." He called marriage "a foundational relationship."

Her told a luncheon session that running for president was an "amazing experience" "and hopefully we moved the needle a bit."

He said "sometimes our biggest battles aren't with the other side but with the people you go into battle with."
