Sequestration 2013: Pentagon furlough notices to go out Friday, report says

A Pentagon official says furlough notices will likely begin to go out to employees on Friday, Government Executive and Federal News Radio report.
Civilian employees will likely be furloughed for 22 days, the report says, and fire, safety and health workers will be exempt, among others.
Employees will be able to appeal their furloughs between March 28 and April 1. The furloughs would begin later this year.
