The Smith family called Sky Restoration of Edgewood, Md. It’s a company they'd used before to clean their ducts. They were told the igniter was gone and the company would need to order a part. It would take 3 to 4 days.

As Smith’s receipt shows, the family paid $900. But the family says they never heard back from the company.

Almost a week later, the chill in the air was getting Smith a little hot under the collar.

The family called another company which fixed the part for $100 less. When the Smiths asked Sky Restoration for a refund, they say the company wasn’t willing to give one. 

But after 7 On Your Side stepped in, Wilma got her money back.

The company declined to comment.
