Spring Valley family wants to relocate after munitions found nearby
March 11, 2013 - 06:01 pm
There’s a new push to help relocate a Spring Valley family who lives across the street from what was once a munitions dump, and now D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton is joining the fight.
The Northwest home was demolished after tons of munitions dating back to WWI were discovered. It's been uninhabited for more than a decade after material like arsenic and mustard gas dating back to 1917 were found.
Richard Reeve reports.
