March 17, 2013 - 09:17 am
Two men were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after their private plane crashed about three miles from the Stafford Regional Airport Sunday, WTOP reports.
Virginia State Police Spokesman Sgt. Frederick Tyler says the single engine Piper apparently lost power as it approached the airport around 7 a.m. It crashed near Cranes Corner Road.
Both men, ages 63 and 51, were awake and talking as they were transported to Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
