Stafford County authorities search for bodies on rural property
A drug-related search warrant in rural Stafford County has turned into a search for what may be buried bodies, the Free Lance-Star reports.
The search began Saturday when Stafford County Sheriff's officials served a warrant on a home in the 800 block of Belle Plains Road in Fredericksburg, officials tell the Free Lance-Star's Keith Epps. They subsequently arrested 58-year-old Dennis Paul Benzie on charges he possessed and distributed methamphetamines between 2010 and 2011.
They then began a digging operation near the property based on information they garnered, and sources tell the Free Lance-Star that they received information that a body was buried nearby. A Sheriff's office official said nothing had yet been found.
