Top 10 cities for banking: D.C. ranked number 6
A financial planning site has named D.C. one of the top 10 cities for consumer banking.
The Washington Business Report reports that NerdWallet Inc. has named D.C. the sixth best city for banking. It compiled the rankings by looking at bank and credit union stability, interest rates for savings accounts, household usage for banking services and bank fees.
Cincinnati was named number one, followed by Pittsburgh, Madison, Wis., Tulsa, Birmingham, Ala., D.C., Miami, Irvine, Calif., Buffalo, and Orlando.
