Most roads appear to be in good condition Tuesday morning, but drivers should still be cautious. The roads are wet and some areas could be slick after Monday’s snowfall.

In Centreville, Route 29 over Route 28 was closed in BOTH directions due to ice and crashes. Drivers are urged to find alternate routes. De-icing treatments are en route.

ABC7’s Brianne Carter has been driving all around Northern Virginia this morning. She says most back roads and neighborhoods appear to be in good condition.

Road crews salted major highways throughout the night in preparation for the morning commute. As of 7 a.m, traffic in most areas appeared to be moving along at a normal pace.

Even though most roads are in good condition, temperatures were hovering around the freezing mark Tuesday morning so drivers are still being warned to be aware of standing water and a few slick spots.
