Nicole Burgess, dog found dead inside Davidsonville home
Updated: March 23, 2013 - 10:14 am
A woman and her dog were found dead inside a Davidsonville home Friday. Sources tell ABC7 the woman was stabbed to death.
Anne Arundel County Police ruled Nicole Burgess' death a homicide and worked late into the night gathering evidence at the Royale Glen Court home.
Red Vaughn, who has lived in the neighborhood for nearly 40 years, says he has never seen a crime so serious take place.
Vaughn says detectives came to his home and asked if he had seen or heard something unusual.
Two acquaintances of Burgess' visited the home around 11:30 a.m. and found the woman and her dog dead.
Police would only say Burgess, 37, had trauma to her upper body. They would not specify what kind of injuries the dog had.
