AAA: Gas prices could continue to fall as summer approaches
AAA says gas prices could continue their downward slide well into summer
Currently, the average price for a gallon of gas in the U.S. is $3.51. That's 14 cents less than one month ago and 32 cents less than a year ago.
"Analysts believe prices will likely drop below the $3.50 per gallon mark in the coming weeks and could even drop below the 2012 low of $3.33 per gallon over the July Fourth holiday weekend," said John B. Townsend, Manager of Public and Government Affairs for AAA Mid-Atlantic.
Analysts attribute the decline to decreased demand and lower prices for crude oil, among other factors.
