Andres Rubio Garcia, 11-year-old boy charged in Annapolis copper theft
An 11-year-old preteen boy is one of two suspects in a Friday night copper theft in Annapolis, police say.
The theft happened in the 100 block of Green Street at about 8:30 p.m. on April 5, according to Annapolis Police officials. The 11-year-old and a 29-year-old man, Andres Rubio Garcia of Hyattsville, were both charged with second and fourth degree burglary and theft. The older man was the boy's uncle.
Rubio Garcia is being held on $100,000 bond at an Anne Arundel County detention facility. The 11-year-old was released to the custody of his parents.
