Arlington will not make daycare cuts to close the budget gap, WTOP reports.
The county manager wanted to get rid of the Office of Child Care in an effort to close the county's $25-50 million budget gap for fiscal year 2014, but not without public outcry.
Board Chairman J. Walter Tajada says cuts will happen elsewhere.
The Office of Child Care inspects childcare facilities and trains daycare providers.
