Updated: April 24, 2013 - 11:53 pm
A MetroAccess driver has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a customer late last week.
Authorities say that Ezra Porter, a 50-year-old employee of MV Transportation, has been charged with first degree sexual assault in connection with the April 19 incident, which they say happened while he was driving the victim around.
Metro Transit Police allege that Porter, an Upper Marlboro resident, was driving the female victim on Friday when he stopped and had inappropriate sexual contact with the woman before dropping her off at home. A family member later contacted Metro about the alleged crime.
MV Transportation is a company contracted with providing MetroAccess service. Porter has not been allowed to return to work in light of the allegations.
